DESCRIPTION:Matt Vander Werf, Brenden Judson, and Paul Brenner (University
  of Notre Dame)\n\nWe present a hybrid cloud+campus model for deploying se
 cure research cyberinfrastructure in line with a growing number of federal
 ly funded scientific research security requirements. While the security me
 chanisms are inline with many regulations, we specifically focus on the NI
 ST 800-171 CUI compliance that is now required by many US DARPA funded con
 tracts. We discuss our architectural framework and rationale for leveragin
 g shared ND services in AWS GovCloud in concert with CUI compliant HPC sys
 tems on our campus in a hybrid fashion; allowing an individual CUI regulat
 ed research project to bridge two connected but distinct infrastructures.\
