SUMMARY:Introduction - Workshop on Exascale MPI (ExaMPI)
DESCRIPTION:Ryan E. Grant (Sandia National Laboratories); Anthony Skjellum
(University of Tennessee, Chattanooga); Purushotham V. Bangalore (Univers
ity of Alabama, Birmingham); and Daniel Holmes (University of Edinburgh)\n
\nThe aim of workshop is to bring together researchers and developers to p
resent and discuss innovative algorithms and concepts in the Message Passi
ng programming model and to create a forum for open and potentially contro
versial discussions on the future of MPI in the Exascale era. Possible wor
kshop topics include innovative algorithms for collective operations, exte
nsions to MPI, including datacentric models, scheduling/routing to avoid n
etwork congestion, “fault-tolerant” communication, interoperability of MPI
and PGAS models, integration of task-parallel models in MPI, and use of M
PI in large scale simulations.\n\nTag: Exascale, MPI, Networks, System Sof
tware\n\nRegistration Category: Workshop Reg Pass\n\nSession Chairs: Purus
hotham Bangalore (University of Alabama); Ryan Grant (Queen's University,
Canada; Power API); Daniel Holmes (Collis-Holmes Innovations); and Anthony
  Skjellum (Tennessee Technological University, ASCEND-TNTECH)\n\n
