SUMMARY:Building Lasting and Effective Mentoring Relationships
DESCRIPTION:Building a successful career in HPC requires developing and ma
 intaining important connections with others in the field.  One of these im
 portant connections is the Mentor/Protege relationship.  Mentoring relatio
 nships can be invaluable to an individual’s personal and professional grow
 th; providing coaching, counseling and exposure to the challenges in the f
 ield.  This joint session between the ECP and Students@SC programs will pr
 ovide guidance on fostering these mentoring relationships.   Specifically,
  this session will aid in: outlining the benefits of the mentor/protege re
 lationship, identifying a lasting mentor, maintaining a mentoring relation
 ship, and finding opportunities to give back.  This sessions will also pro
 vide an overview of the week-long mentoring initiatives and plans for cont
