SUMMARY:Post-K Supercomputer with Fujitsu's Original CPU, Powered by Arm I
 SA
DESCRIPTION:Toshiyuki Shimizu (Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd)\n\nFujitsu has pr
ovided supercomputers for over forty years; recently the K computer in 201
1, winning 1st place twice in the TOP500, the Fujitsu-original PRIMEHPC FX
10 in 2012 and the PRIMEHPC FX100 in 2015. Fujitsu also delivers x86 clust
ers for wide application areas and customer requirements.\n\nRIKEN and Fuj
itsu are now developing the “post-K” supercomputer as Japan’s new national
supercomputer project. The post-K inherits the K computer’s architecture
and targets up to 100 times higher application performance with superior p
ower efficiency. The post-K employs the newly developed Fujitsu original C
PU which recently announced as FUJITSU A64FX featuring the Armv8-A and SVE
ISA and widening application opportunities. The post-K contributes to the
Arm ecosystem for HPC applications as well as science and society.\n\nAt
SC18, Fujitsu will provide updates on post-K development and some performa
nce evaluation results.\n\nTag: Architectures, Post-K computer, Quantum Co
