SUMMARY:HPC Drives GM
DESCRIPTION:Ajay Deshpande (General Motors Company)\n\nOver the past decad
 e, Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) has increased its role in vehicle deve
 lopment. CAE is not just a set of tools to provide physical understanding;
  CAE-based designs and optimizations continue to provide integral input in
 to product development. Accurate modelling and characteristics in CAE is a
  key step to establish robust math-based simulations for design and develo
 pment. For example, in internal combustion engines, the mixture preparatio
 n process is highly coupled with combustion performance and emissions beha
 vior. The presentation will outline how HPC is enabling engineers and rese
 archers for experimental and modelling work, undertaken at General Motors
 to support the corporate Road-to-Lab-to-Math (RLM) strategy.\n\nTag: Indus
